Police are asking motorists to avoid the area of Route 62 as crews attempt to remove downed power lines.
Lowell Street will be closed between North and Main Streets for several hours to ensure the safety of residents and motorists, and ensure work crews can restore electrical service in a timely manner.
Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes.
