Through a multi-agency investigation, led by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, two individuals have been arrested and arraigned in connection with a series of residential break-ins targeting communities across the county.
The break-ins occurred in June and July of 2025. Following the investigation it was determined that the individuals utilized advanced surveillance and technological strategies and tools. The crimes impacted several communities, including North Reading, and resulted in the theft of significant amounts of cash, jewelry, and other valuables.
The North Reading Police Detective Unit worked closely with the Middlesex DA’s Office, and with surrounding communities to identify the group of suspects.
The department would like to reassure the community that the safety and well being of our residents is our top priority. The department is committed to proactive policing in an effort to combat these types of sophisticated crimes. North Reading Police would like to thank law enforcement partners from across Middlesex County for their assistance and professionalism.
“This case demonstrates the strength of coordinated law enforcement efforts and our ongoing commitment to protecting the North Reading community,” said Chief Zimmerman. “When criminals utilize advanced technology, they make our community vulnerable, leaving investigators to collaborate and use all of the resources available to bring them to justice. This prolonged investigation highlights the professionalism of the North Reading Police Department and our relationship with our fellow law enforcement agencies.”
