North Reading Police would like to share some clarifying information regarding the CodeRED outage and password changes.
Due to the breach of CodeRED, residents who use the SAME password for CodeRED as they do for their other personal or business accounts are strongly encouraged to change the passwords on their other accounts. CodeRED is currently down, so residents can not change their CodeRED password at this time.
Residents are also reminded to use strong passwords. This may include numbers or characters. Never use identifying information, such as their name or date of birth, for passwords.
