The North Reading Police Department offers many specialized programs and services for residents, parents, children, and business owners in town.
Fingerprinting
Members of the The North Reading Police will try to provide fingerprinting services to members of the community who either work here or live here.
People looking to get fingerprinted should call 978-664-3131 option 0 for dispatch and speak with the officer in charge to make arrangements.
Car Seat Installations
The North Reading Police Department installs car seats for free, by appointment, for all North Reading residents. Currently we have three officers who have received National Certification from the “National Child Passenger Safety Certification Training Program” (CPS). RAD Classes
This program provides safety tips and self defense options for women. Information about the program can be found Rad-Systems.com.

Child Safety ID Cards

Security Surveys
A North Reading Police Department Crime Prevention Officer will go to a Business location or a resident’s home or apartment and conduct a “target-hardening” survey of the property and offer advise as to how to make the property less susceptible to break-ins.
