Police Officer’s Prayer
When I start my tour of duty wherever crime may be,
As As I walk the darkened streets alone, let me be close to thee.
Please give me understanding with both the young and the old.
Let me listen with attention until their story is told.
Let me never make a judgement in a rash or callous way,
But let me hold my patience and let each person have their say.
And if some dark and dreary nigh I am to lose my life,
Lord Bless my family without any strife.
