Chief Michael Murphy and the North Reading Police Department welcomed Officer Timothy King and Officer Michael Hanley into the North Reading Police family on Tuesday, August 16, 2016. Officers King and Hanley graduated from the Reading Police Academy after five months of training.
Officer King is a North Reading resident who graduated from Saint John’s Preparatory School and Wake Forest University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. Officer King has previously worked as a seasonal police officer with the Provincetown Police on Cape Cod.
Officer Hanley is a North Reading resident who graduated from North Reading High School and Saint Anslem College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Officer Hanley has previously worked as a Public Safety Officer at Boston University Medical Center.
Officers King and Hanley will be assigned to Field Training within the Patrol Division for the next several weeks.
