High temperatures are upon us. The North Reading Police would like to join the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in warning about the dangers of heat stroke. Heatstroke Fact Sheet This fact sheet is about leaving children in hot cars, but it is also applicable to pets as well. See this video that NFL player Tyrann Mathieu did in conjunction with PETA about leaving a dog in a hot car. If you see something that appears to be an emergency or an unsafe condition for a child or pet, please call the North Reading Police. All emergencies can be reported by dialing 911. For matters that do not require an emergency response, please call 978 664-3131 and then press 0 to speak with an officer.
