NORTH READING – Chief Michael P. Murphy is pleased to announce that the North Reading Police Department participated in the Cruiser Convoy as part of the 2018 Special Olympics Massachusetts Summer Games.

“It was both an honor a privilege to have the opportunity to take part in the 2018 Cruiser Convoy in support of the Special Olympics,” said Officer Marra. “I had the pleasure of handing out medals to participating athletes and exchanging high fives with some inspiring new friends. This is a great event and I certainly look forward to participating in it again.”
Athletes from across Massachusetts participated in the Special Olympics by competing in various athletics activities, as well as, bocce, equestrian activities, power lifting, sprint triathlon and swimming.
