2017 Halloween Safety Tips and Storm Damage Update
The Town of North Reading will celebrate Halloween on October 31, 2017. The recommended times for trick or treat are from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Due to the recent storm, the North Reading Police Department is urging parents and trick-or-treaters use extra caution as there is still several areas with downed tree limbs and areas without power.

Parents and trick-or-treaters are urged to use flashlights while out tonight to help them see any debris or downed lines where they may be walking.
Treat all downed lines as “live” and avoid them
Homeowners are reminded to illuminate their walkways and driveways if they are welcoming trick-or-treaters.
Motorists are reminded to be on the lookout for trick-or-treaters that may dart into the roadway while going house to house. Be aware and drive slower than normal this evening.
