On 11-07-14 NRPD responded to a Gould Road address for a report of a burglary which had occurred. The residents realized that someone had forced entry into the rear of their home, through a first floor window and while inside had stolen cash and jewelry. The matter is currently under investigation.

There are few things that more intrusive then someone entering your home, going through your personal belongings and stealing them. The next several months are when we statistically experience the most daytime, residential, burglaries. Take precautions, lock your doors and first floor windows. If you see someone or a vehicle in your neighborhood that seems out of place or is suspicious, please contact NRPD right away, we want you to call so that we can check on them. Give consideration to an exterior home surveillance system. These systems are now relatively inexpensive, are easy to set up and not only deter thieves but are invaluable to police during burglary, larceny and vandalism investigations. Remember to back up valuable data, digital images (personal photos) and personal files to “Cloud Storage” or flash drive to prevent losing them in the event of a burglary or fire.
